This week we pray for

We have been very fortunate this year to secure Professor Richard Bauckham to give the annual Lent Lectures at Winchester Guildhall.  His theme is “God is in the end and the beginning”.   The lectures are on Thursday 8 March, and further details, including how to book, are on our blog

There is also a variety of day and residential events at Old Alresford Place:

D8  Tuesday 24 January  Preaching and Teaching on Giving

Led by John Preston and the Revd Gordon Randall

D9  Tuesday 31 January  Opportunities afforded by the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Led by Canon Duncan Green.  How we might be able to use this “once in a life time event” as part of the Church’s mission locally.

D10  Saturday 11 February  Consultation on self-supporting ministry

This is open to all ministers but of particular interest to self-supporting clergy and incumbents who work with them.

Led by Revd Nicky Judd, Revd Kathy O’Loughlin and Canon Norman Boakes.

Led by Canon Simon Baker and Canon Norman Boakes

R2  Friday 23 – Sunday 25 March  How adults and children learn

While these events are intended primarily for licensed minsters, they are also open to others who might be interested.  Further details on all of these are on the CMD forthcoming events page
