LAY CHAIR
Mr Mark Ward

I encourage the laity to share the opportunity to minister to our communities. Together with the Area Dean I seek cohesion across the deanery so we appreciate diversity and share talents whilst nurturing each other through difficulties.
I'm a Reader, I share this ministry with Mark also. My day job as fundraising manager for a Christian charity (The Trussell Trust) allows me to pray daily with my colleagues and with our clients who due to some kind of family crisis find themselves without food. If you hear me preach it will often be related to the very practical nature of faith (James 2: 14-17).
Can we reach out in faith with generosity? I hate talking about SHARE and I'd love the deanery to provide support to our communities especially within our aging population, but we all need to want to give freely as God asks us to do.
I can be a bit quiet apparently. My (now) son-in-law told my daughter after his first visit "I don't think your dad likes me, he didn't talk to me", to which she replied, "oh don't worry, he doesn't talk to anyone!
Otherwise you might find me at my allotment with my wind up radio, walking the Pembrokeshire or Lincolnshire coast or reading via my Kindle, maybe a crime thriller, something historical or grappling with some theology (the latter requires a glass of red or a single malt).
Aspirations - a Masters in history and to spend more time with my children and their partners - (oh and the churchwarden a.k.a. my wife Margaret).
